[RICHMOND, VA] – Vignettes Home Staging, an award-winning Richmond based home staging company, is thrilled to announce its contribution to Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School by revamping the existing teacher wellness room just in time for the holiday season. Understanding the vital role educators play in our community, Vignettes Home Staging has undertaken a pro bono project to revitalize the teacher wellness room at Martin Luther King Middle School. The company partnered with Communities in Schools of Richmond (CIS) and Robin’s Nest Wellness to update a dedicated space for teachers to recharge, reset, and decompress.  Angel Booth, owner of Vignettes Home Staging, expressed her satisfaction with the project’s outcomes, stating, “We aimed to elevate the existing wellness room with style and functionality while incorporating mindfulness concepts into the design.” The rejuvenated room features a new performance fabric sectional for relaxation, a faux living wall, and an array of mindfulness tools and resources for teachers to utilize. Booth collaborated with wellness event planner Jabria Craft, owner of Robin’s Nest Wellness, to integrate features such as QR codes leading teachers to grounding and breathing exercises, as well as an affirmation station within the room. The official unveiling of the revitalized teacher wellness room took place on November 30, 2023, starting at 8:30 a.m. Representatives from Vignettes Home Staging and Robin’s Nest Wellness, alongside school administrators and teachers, were present to celebrate this meaningful transformation. The positive reception from the school community underscores the success of the project in providing educators with a supportive and rejuvenating space. “The redesign of the MLK staff wellness room is everything,” said Tameka Depriest, CIS site coordinator for MLK Middle School. “Thank you for providing your generosity and providing a space for teachers and staff where they can feel at home even when they are away.” Vignettes Home Staging remains committed to contributing to the well-being of the community and looks forward to future opportunities for positive impact.
